Adjusting Your
1 Ton Hooks
One of the features that make these
hooks unique is their full adjustability. The wrist strap is not only fully
adjustable from the smallest to the largest size, it also allows a very tight,
supportive fit - thanks to the heavy duty construction of the buckle and
the quality of the nylon strapping and hook and loop fastener.
Also, the position of the steel hook
in the palm is fully adjustable for lifters with very small hands to extra large
hands.
Adjusting the
Wrist Strap
 |
Loosen the wrist strap. |

 |
Place your hand through the
wrist strap and position the hook comfortably in the palm of your hand.
Tighten the wrist strap from snug to very tight, as you prefer. |

Adjusting the
Hook Position
The position of where the steel hook
rests in your palm is fully adjustable. Simply loosen the positioning strap as
shown.

Too long: The photo below
shows the hook positioned too far from the wrist. This will greatly reduce the
effectiveness of the hooks.

Too short: The photo below
shows the hook positioned too close to the wrist. Again, this is not optimum and
will reduce the amount of weight you can lift.

Just right: This photo shows
the hook resting in the palm allowing the fingers to curve around the hook and
provide full support during all lifts. Adjusted this way, these hooks are
capable of supporting a lift of 1,000 pounds with each hand!

Alternate Grip
Some people prefer this alternate
grip. You can remove the hook from the positioning strap and flip it over. This
configuration allows a closed position where the barbell is encircled by the
steel hook on one side and your hand on the other. Many people feel more secure
when lifting in this configuration.
